How to Kill Long Coats

Desperados 3 is a tactical stealth game that is set in the 1870's Wild West and most of the enemies that are encountered during gameplay are 'vulnerable' to distractions. In Desperados 3 the one type of enemy that is not susceptable to distractions and can not be lured to different places by using the character's various gadgets and skills are the Long Coats. The Long Coat is the name of the strongest and most difficult type of enemy to take down in Desperados 3. Long Coats are distinguished by the long black coats they wear and they will first appear in the third mission 'Troublemakers In Flagstone'. As you advance in the game, confrontations with them will become more frequent. These enemies are not only stronger but also more alert. The one character of the group that has the ability to eliminate a Long Coat is Hector Mendoza who is able to do so by using his melee attack, where he has the option to either kill them by bludgeoning them to death with his axe or stun them using his bare fists. Using Hectors bear trap 'Bianca' which he can set anywhere on the ground and once laid becomes imperceptible to enemies who face being mauled to death if they become caught in it will not work against the Long Coat enemy who will always notice the trap and avoid it.

Although the other characters of the group are powerless to kill the Long Coats they are able to stun them using the gadgets each has at their disposal. Arthur 'Doc' McCoy for example can do so using his Buntline, a long-barreled variant of the Colt Single Action Army revolver and Kate O'Hara's Perfume Vials when thrown at a Long Coat have the capability to stun them. It is advised that if you encounter a Long Coat and Hector is not available to deal with the situation you use the gadgets of the characters that are present to stun the Long Coat and then move away from them quickly so they are no longer a problem.
