In addition to John Cooper, Desperados 3 also includes four other playable characters who join Cooper on his quest. These are the runaway bride Kate O'Hara, shady Arthur 'Doc' McCoy, the giant trapper Hector, and Isabelle Moreau, a mysterious lady from New Orleans.

• Use Foot Trails to Set Up Traps

  There are some missions on Desperados 3 where walking around will leave your foot trails behind you. This can cause you problems as the foot trail can be tracked by enemies and lead them to where you are.

  Foot trails however can be used to your advantage by having them lure enemies away from their normal patrol to incapacitate them quietly and safely away from prying eyes.

• Make Use of Unlimited Skills

  Each of the five playable characters in Desperados 3 has their own unique abilities and skills which can be used as many times as you want. Make sure you are familiar with them and their cooldown periods and take full advantage of them during the game.

• Check Different Camera Views

  Rotation of the camera is useful in locations densly occupied by the enemy as it enables you to change the camera positon and allow you to see an enemy that was previously invisible. Zooming in the camera view is also helpful, especially indoors when you are searching for small items.

• Use Showdown Mode

  Don't forget to use Showdown Mode whenever you come across a difficult situation as this feature enables you to stop time and plan out an elaborate mousetrap maneuver involving the other playable characters in the group. When Showdown Mode is activated you will be able to look around the map and evaluate the tactical situation.

• Don't Forget to Quick Save

  Desperados 3 has a forgiving quick save system, and as long as you make a backup save before attempting a plan you will rarely be penalized. Although the game will periodically display quick save reminders you should get into the habit of regularly using this feature anyway so when you die you don't lose all the momentum you gained.

Cheat Codes

Desperados 3 has cheat codes that can be activated to make things easier in the game. These cheat codes are available on all three platforms (PC, PS4, and Xbox One) but require different methods to enter them.

How to enter Desperado 3 Cheat Codes

To enable the cheat codes on the PC you have to go to the in-game 'Options' menu and type the phrase 'honorless' (without the quotes).

If you are playing on the Xbox One console you need to enter the following button combination at the in-game 'Options' menu: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, LB, RB. For the PS4 the button combination is: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, L1, R1.

After correct input of the phrase or button combination, you will be able to enable the cheat listed below on your game by inputting its corresponding phrase or button code.

Desperados 3 PC Cheat Codes

• Unlock All Levels:

  At the in-game 'Options' menu type 'takethetrain' (without the quotes)

• Enable Immortality : Press the 'END' key
• Disable Immortality : Press the 'POS1' key
• Enable Invisibility : Press the 'Page Down' key
• Disable Invisibility : Press the 'Page Up' key
• Teleport to Cursor Location : Press the F10
• Kills Any Character the Cursor Hovers Over : Press the 'Delete' key

Desperados 3 PS4 / Xbox One Cheat Codes

• Unlock All Levels:

  (PS4) Press Up, Up, Down, Down, L1, R1, L1, R1, Left, Right at the in-game 'Options' menu.

  (Xbox One) Press Up, Up, Down, Down, LB, RB, LB, RB, Left, Right at the in-game 'Options' menu.

• Enable Immortality :

  (PS4) Press R1 + Left.

  (Xbox One) Press RB + Left.

• Disable Immortality :

  (PS4) Press R1 + Right.

  (Xbox One) Press RB + Right.

• Enable Invisibility:

  (PS4) Press R1 + Down

  (Xbox One) Press RB + Down

• Disable Invisibility :

• Teleport the to the Location of the Viewcone Cursor:

  (PS4) Press Left + R1

Note: You will not be able to enable cheat codes until you have completed the tutorial mission and if you decide to use them you will not be able to earn the optional badges for each level.
