10 Things We Hate About Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

Only 5 New Forms

Much like when the news of brand new Pokemon coming to Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon came to be, fans were just as excited when it was first revealed that a number of Pokemon would be receiving new forms as well. However, just like with the Ultra Beasts, players were discouraged when the games were released and they discovered only five Pokemon would be receiving new forms. To make matters worse, none, as we mentioned once before, were newer created Alolan Forms for Kantonian Pokemon. Instead, only Pikachu, Lycanroc, and Necrozma would be receiving new forms. That’s it.

It’s hard to even count Pikachu’s I Choose You Cap Form as a brand new form, as six other Pikachu With Cap Forms had been released prior to Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon coming out. That, and Pikachu With Caps don’t hold any differences from Pikachu in its regular form. Then comes Necrozma, the same that holds three of the five brand new forms added to the Pokemon Universe. We honestly have nothing bad to say about these forms, especially Ultra Necrozma in all of its glory, but we will say it’s a real shame how three of the five forms went straight to it. Necrozma dominates this new concept, the only thing it does in both of these games. And lastly comes Lycanroc with its new Dusk Form, the same that sees it slower than Midday with just a little more attack. That’s it. The Pokemon Company dropped the ball where Alolan Forms were concerned, and they didn’t make up for it in this one area that they easily could.
