2. Tom Clancy's The Division

The central plot of Tom Clancy's The Division is the spread of the small pox disease through a virus that is implanted on banknotes on Black Friday and quickly takes down the United States Government, which quickly spirals into a post - apocalyptic type free for all. Gamers will assume the character of a tactical agent who, as part of a special unit of tactical operatives, is tasked with preventing the fall of New York.

This is a third person role playing game with both PvP (known as the Dark Zone) and online modes being available for game play. Outside of the Dark Zone the playing environment is said to be a dynamic one with co-operation of small groups required to combat the chaos that reigns in New York. However, when you enter the unwelcoming Dark Zone, all rules go out the window and you become a fair target for anyone and everyone.

Trying to set themselves apart from other games offering PvP mode, the creators of this game have made the process of acquiring items very risky in the Dark Zone. That is because when you find an item you can only acquire it through a process called extraction. This process takes time, but once complete the item will be permanently attached to the player. However, if you die during the extraction process you will permanently lose the item. This is one of the many features of the game that the creators hope will cause players to want to come back for more.

Tom Clancy's The Division is set for release on 8 March 2016 for PS4, XBOX ONE and PC.

2. Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy XV is a dark role playing game that is designed to look like the modern day world and has incredibly realistic graphics. In the game all but one (ie, the Kingdom of Lucas) of the world's kingdoms are under the control of the Niflheim Empire. The heir to the Lucan throne (Noctis) is driven from his home when Niflheim forces invade Lucas. Noctis then sets out to defeat the Niflheim forces.

Gamers have the choice of arenas for game play including the action based battle system and the open world environment.

The action based battle system (also referred to as the "Active Cross Battle system) is based on that from the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy Type-O series but with the commands linked to the controller buttons rather than in a list on the menu.

The game will be released on XBOX ONE and PS4. The final release date for the game is still yet to be confirmed, but its creators have assured that it will be out in 2016 and have begun taking pre-orders. The final release date is set to be confirmed in a special event to be held on 30 March.
