9) Madden 2005

There have been a lot of Madden games released over the years. Some good, and unfortunately many bad. Madden 2005 stands out among the crowd as the best of the franchise in many people's minds. Madden 2005 had some cool features like the hit stick and the Tony Bruno show that gave your season a dynamic and real life feeling to it. Madden 2005 had a really good franchise mode that allowed you to improve players with drills but didn't' take it too far like later games did. It was also the last game in the series before the stupid QB vision 'feature' was added.

Ever since Madden 2005, the series has become more and more realistic. Some football fans are happy with this progression but Madden has simply lost the 'arcadey' feeling that it used to have and newer Madden games aren't as fun. Madden 2005 is the game that I keep going back to every year when I want to play my brother in a Thanksgiving game. Now if only I could stop Jake Plummer from scrambling for so many yards…
