It is really rather difficult to beat an action-focused MMO that is based in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Even if you are not a veteran gamer with 40+ years in gaming that includes having played the original table top version of D&D when it was new, you can hardly escape the influence of the series largely because it has heavily influenced, well, every single Hack N Slash game in the genre since it was first created!

Then you factor in the back story for this most excellent (and free let us not forget that) MMORPG -- you take on the role of the hero who must protect the lands from those who wish to destroy it -- there, you cannot say it any fairer than that mates. That's an adventure worth having!

When you set out in the game you pick one of the unique classes using a very easy to grasp character creator -- that is important because the game series has a reputation for its deep character customization, and while the classes that the beta started out with was fairly limited in types, there is still plenty to customize.

Then you set out to master that class as you level up your skill in both the mechanics of combat and the play style of your chosen class. Along the way you kit up, find wondrous sights to behold, save the odd damsel in distress -- ok that damsel may be an octogenarian but still!

Once you find your happy place in the game and grow comfortable enough to say to yourself, “Self, now that I have mastered game play it is time for me to avail myself of the Forge and start crafting my own adventures!” or something like that... The point is that there is far more to this one than meets the eye at first!
