Perfect Fruit

In Animal Crossing New Leaf, there is a new feature called perfect fruit. It looks similar to normal fruit but is higher in value and rarity. One perfect fruit sells for 600 bells (720 wealthy ordinance). When you start your Animal Crossing file for the first time, on one of your fruit trees will have one piece of fruit that is different. That is a perfect fruit. Plant it and you will get 3, then plant all 3 and you will have 12 and so on.

Unfortunately there is a catch with perfect fruit. You can only plant your native perfect fruit. If your native fruit is cherries, your native perfect fruit is also cherries. If you try planing non-native perfect fruit, the tree will always die. So if a friend give you some non-native perfect fruit, always sell it and never plant it. There is also another catch. Once you shake a perfect fruit tree many times, it will lose its leaves and die. One of the 3 fruits will be rotten, and you will have to throw it away and re-plant the tree. It's usually about 4-7 shakes until it dies.

If you and a friend trade many baskets of perfect fruit, you can easily get over 80,000 bells every 3 days. One non-native fruit sells for 3,000 bells (3,600 wealthy ordinance). If you combine perfect fruit trading, beetle hunting and the money rock, you can easily get 400,000 bells every 3 days, if you're willing to put in the hard work.

Perfect fruit is a major way to earn fast bells and to beautify your town. It a great feature to Animal Crossing and I hope they keep perfect fruit around in future Animal Crossing games.
