Disable Caps Lock

Do you think that Caps Lock is not useful or is bothering you? Or do you prefer Shift instead of Caps Lock. Here’s how to disable it. Warning though as editing other registries can make your computer unstable so back up the necessary registries and follow every step carefully.

How to Create a User Account

1. Click Start and type in “regedit” and press Enter.





2. Double Click the following in order: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet and Control.





3. Right-click Keyboard Layout, point to New then Click Binary Values.





4. Name the New Binary Value “Scancode Map” and then right-click and click Modify.





5. Enter the following on the screenshot below and click OK and restart the computer to take effect.

How to backup registry files

1. Click the Windows Button located on the lower left edge of the screen then type Run. then press Enter.





2. Type regedit on the textbox.





3. Select which registry do you want to back up and click it. Click File then select Export .





4. Input the any filename you want on that backup and click Save.
