Agent Reyna Guide

Reyna is the first Valorant character to be added to the roster since the game's official launch. This Mexican female character is a vampire whose abilities feed off of getting kills. Check out our Agent Reyna guide to find out everything you need to know about her.

Reyna is the first agent to be added since the closed Beta and brings the total number of playable characters in Valorant up to 11. She is a Duelist who has a total of four abilities which can be used to dominate single combat. Listed below are Reyna's abiities:

Dismiss

Enemies killed by Reyna leave behind Soul Orbs which she consumes to give her the ability to levitate in a transparent purple silhouette. If her Empress ability is active she will become intangible for a limited period of time making her invulnerable to enemy attack. Whilst in this state she will be unable to shoot back at her opponents.

Devour

Consuming the Soul Orb left behind by the opponents Reyna takes down will also helps her to quickly heal and regain health. Once her HP is full the healing power gets transformed into a health armour. If Reyna's Empress ability is active the Devour ability gets cast automatically without her having to take the Soul Orb.

Leer (Signature Ability)

Leer is a projectile in the form of an an ethereal destructible eye that travels through walls and nearsights any enemy that looks at it limiting their view. This effect lasts for several seconds after it is thrown. Enemies though can shoot and destroy the orb.

Empress (Ultimate Ability)

When this ability is active Reyna enters into a frenzy which gives her a higher firing speed. It also increases her equipment and reload speed. If she gets a kill, the duration of the ability becomes renewed. When Empress is active, her Devour ability gets cast automatically on killing an enemy without consuming the Soul Orb. An active Empress ability also makes Reyna invisible for a short period of time which can be used for surprise attacks and changing the location.

How to Play Reyna

If you choose to play Reyna you need to focus on getting as many Soul Orbs and kills as possible in order to fuel her abilities. This is crucial playing Reyna because if you don’t secure kills and collect Soul Orbs you will not be able to make any use of her abilities. This makes her playstyle very feast or famine as she only has one ability that doesn’t need to use kills to activate it. If she isn’t getting kills consistently, she won’t be able to contribute much to her team compared to other agents. The rewarding aspect of playing Reyna is that when you manage to get max kills with her she transforms into one of the most powerful agents in Volarant.
