Well, I'm stuck in the airplane trying to save lady ashe but theres one problem...i can't beat the judges...any advice?

Just kill the soldiers first then concentrate all your attacks on Judge Ghis. To use a quickening, you must first obtain the lisense on the board. Don't worry about picking the wrong one, they're all pre chosen. For example, no matter what quickening tile you choose for vaan, he will always get red spiral. No matter what one you choose for balthier, he will get fires of war. Once you have your quickening and full MP, you can go to the mist section of your battle menu and choose "quickening" and then a list of your quickenings will show up. Once you get more, you'll be able to get bigger chains, resulting in concurrences. Concurrences are area attacks that damages not only your original target, but all the other enemies close to it aswell! That's about all you need to know about quickenings. They really help against bosses.

Yes, It was hard for me too. Heres what you can do. YOu should have alot of potions from defeating enemies in that area, if not, just fight some guys and steal some. When fighting the judge, Use 2 characters to constantly fight, and your remaining character to constantly use potions. Using potions is alot faster than using spells. Thats what I had to do to beat him.

Also, quickenings are a waste of time and MP. They rely solely on luck. After finding a Quickening slot on the Licnese Board for a specific character, that character can use a quickening. When using a quickinging you select mist from the command list. Where you are now, You must have full MP to use it. When activated, a screen will come up and you must hit R2 untill your characters name and attack becomes selectable, when it is selectable, hit the corresponding button to use the quickening. There is a big chance you wont even be able to pull it off with one character. Having 3 character with quickening raises your chances of success. Even when done correctly with 3 characters it doesnt do any damage that can be considered worthwhile.
