How to defeat the magic pot?

Don't attack it. It will ask you for an Elixir in which case give it one. It will become weaker and then you can attack it. Just make sure to steal back the Elixir before the battle is over
Feed it an elixir, then attack it. When the pot is almost dead, use the "steal" technique to steal the elixir back, after it has the elixir it is easier to kill.
Have your characters use the gil toss it'll take a couple of times just make sure its more than 30,000 gil that you have...it'll be a technique the gil toss so try that a couple of times and it will work...
Turn off gambits on all characters. Give it an elixir. (select elixir out of your items list and press L1 to target the magick pot). The pot will "rejoice". Turn gambits on and attack it. It will not stand still. You'll have to chase it. You can also try to steal back the elixir you gave it. Sometimes , after you kill it, it drops an elixir. Good luck.
