Final Fantasy XII Questions

I have a problem. I'm in the Stilshrine of Miriam and I just opened the gate. The boss is killing me every time. Part of the reason is Vaan only has a Icebrand, and i hav nothing else to equip him with, but I don't want to go back to Mt. Bur-Omirsace. But my other characters are good, Balthier- Iron Hammer attack power 53 lvl. 28, Fran- Iron Hammer attack power 53 lvl. 28, Basch- War Hammer attack power 65 lvl. 30, Ashe- Osafune attack power 54 lvl. 28, Penelo- War Hammer attack power 65 lvl 28. I simply can't leave Vaan out, he's my stongest lvl. 32 Icebrand attack power 65. What do I do? Go back to Mt. Bur-Omirsace and get a new weapon or try untill I win?

I understand you probably like to give axes=hammers to everyone because they have the highest attack power, but it's not the way to go. Even thou Axes&Hammers have the highest attack power and they can deal a good amount of damage in a single hit, they have a high chance of dealing hardly any damage at all and they never really combo either. You should only keep a hammer or axe on one character. Try equipping a Katana on one of your characters, Katanas can Combo very high (up to 10) for a number of multiple hits in one strike. Keep Vann in there with the Icebrand, Have Basch with the War Hammer, and another chracter in (without a hammer or axe) for healing. Cast Berserk on Basch, have one character healing and reviving Constantly, and Vann healing and attacking. If your main party dies, as soon as your deploy your 2nd party start healing and reviving your main party, you can target them by hitting L1 or L2 in battle after you selected an action. You can also try casting Protect and Haste on your characters if you have them. Make sure they have decent armor on, a Heavy armor and a Mystick helmet, this will keep you evenly defensed against spells, although Basch should have just heavy armor. Hope this helps.

Yes,its the only way I would say get the demonsbane,fire brand or osafune on him,then the battle should be lots easier.Warning make sure you have something or items that help you with sleep.

The easist way to beat (him or her not sure) is with quickenigs. And some bacchus wine, you need lv2 quickenigs.
