Question for Final Fantasy XII

I have a few questions.
1. I noticed that there is a total of 106 different quickenings! What are the best three quickenings for each character [Vaan, Balthier, Fran, Basch, Ashe, and Penelo]?
2. I just beat that Garudo character and I've tried beating the pair of moving walls [bosses] inside the Tomb of Raithwall. And I would like to beat both of them, but I'd rather beat the first wall first so I can get to that sword, in that hidden area after you touch that jewel behind the first moving wall, faster. I understand that you have to beat both walls to get to it. I know he's stronger, so what three characters should I use? What levels should they be? What weapons/accesories should they use?
3. What exactly is a Forgotten Grimoire? I'm able to buy it in a bazaar, but I have no idea what its use is for.

Well, just to tell you all know, I have looked in the walkthroughs and I haven't found them to answer my questions. So please, I need like super experts on FF12 to answer my questions. Or maybe anyone who has had past experience on these events. Please and thank you.

1. I'd like to know that too.
2. Beat the second wall first, it's really really easy. For the second wall I just attacked attacked attacked (clicked out the torch light to make him stop for a second) and make sure you heal.

For the First wall it took me 5 tries to get lucky enough for him not to banish people too soon. I used my best 3 characters (Vaan, Basch, Ashe). Vaan and Basch both had the best weapon I could buy (Im not sure what it was) I had Vaan as my party leader and made him cast Protect on all the characters in my party and then cast Berserk on Basch, and then Berserk on himself. I switched to make Ashe my party leader and just constantly meleed him. Berserk is like haste that makes you hit more damage, but you cannot control your character during this time. I did this and got him down to like 800 hp before I was squished and finally I decided to cast Berserk on Ashe about half way through and won.

If the wall banishes one of your party members bring in the next and cast Berserk on him or her.

As for characters, again, just use your best.

A Forgotten Grimoire is 22000 gil spent in Bazaar, which is probably a little pricy. It is a key item that makes certain types of monsters drop better things. I don't know if it works or not, because I always buy them when I can get them. It takes money to make money.

Hi there !

1. Are you sure there would be 106 quickenings? ;)) Because as long as my experience... You can only place 3 characters for combo quickening and none can replace those three while it happend. But my favourite combination would be Ashe, Van, and Penelo since those three have more MP than the others. Sorry I wasn't much help for this question. :D

2. Actually, you can run from the first Demon Wall... And the second one is a must win fight. But, if you insist to win them both to get that sword in the hidden area, after beat the first monster... Go to a save crystal to heal your HP and MP, and also recover bad status. If one of your character sent to X dimension, just wait until he/she comes back before entering the next fight. Try to level up at least 10 more from your current level in every episode (yeah... I know it's kinda boring sometimes). Mostly I use Van, Ashe, and Penelo since they have more agility and more MP. Van with long sword or iron sword, same with Penelo, and Ashe with Bow. For their accecories, try to get them Battle Harness so they will automatically counter every foes attack. And get someone with Gambit Ally = HP <80%, potion

3. A Forgotten grimoire is very helpful to get rare drop from monsters that usually don't drop that kinda thing unless you have grimoire. There are several different griomoire with different specialty such as dragoon's monograph grimoire which increase rare drops from dragon type enemy. And else, please read carefully the first section of Bazar Loot Walkthrough (sorry, I forgot who's writing that walkthrough - but I give high credit for him because it help me a lot to find what to sell in the Bazaar -- and where to find those monster -- to have the most powerful weapon). I suggest that you should buy it if you have enough money.

Hope I helped!
