Date of Question: Jul 1 2009 | Question ID: 143690 You can't open three chest in order to get the zodiac spear...i know which chest it is but when I go back to the area where the chest was it isnt there? I know I didnt get it.....is this suppose to be happening...

Its 4 chests!
One opposite Dalan's place in Lowtown
One in the Palace *just before you start trying to sneak past the guards*
One when you retrieve your things after the prison before you start in Barheim Passage
And one in Phon Coast.
So youve been missing one thats why the Zodiac Spear hasnt been showing up.

To expand on Baltheir's answer, the "one treasure chest" in the Phon Coast is actually the 16(!) chests along the Vaddu Strand on the Phon Coast. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but if you want to join the Hunt Club, you must travel to the Vaddu Strand to find and kill a rare monster. Luckily, all the chests are laid out in a square pattern near the end of the area. They all contain gil, but you want that spear more then you want a one time helping of gil, right? Just nod your head...
