continuation of question on should I start over!! GAMESPRO READ!

Vaan is level 28 and the rest are level 27. I'm at the boss Ahriman who I cannot beat.

ANSWERS

You can't beat him because this boss is about level 38. You really need to level up alittle. Id say to atleast his level. He is weak to light..so youre only spell is holy. (which you wont have yet) So youre very much relient on physical attacks. Make sure you have all your protective spells cast. And level up!!
Shell works great here. Dont cast dark as this will heal him. He will cast level 3 doom so have remedies on your gambits or esuna. He also casts Immobilise so make sure youre characters have an item equipped to combat that. You can cast slow on him that may help. He isnt a difficult boss..just a pain

At that point in the game all your characters should be around level 40. The Ahriman boss is difficult, it's fine until it starts copying himself you just have to work fast to beat it but again on those levels you probably won't be able to. So you can take some time to try and train your characters or restart altogether and train more along the way, if I was you I'd probably restart. It might be a good idea to look at the walkthroughs here if you do so to make sure you don't miss anything, and of course if you have any more questions don't hesitate to submit them.

For this to work out you need your character lvl at to the minimum lvl 35
