Trickster (White chocobo)

Dillan03783 asks: Added Oct 25th 2008, ID #131739

Trickster (White chocobo)

I just beat the Great Crystal and I thought I had beaten the Trickster so I want to read about him for some reason. And it said that I still havn't beaten him. I went to Perimina Rift to see if he was still there and he was. I fought him twice and got a game over on both. I usually start out with my first party which is Vaan=lv.42, Penelo=lv.42, and Baltheir=lv.43. The others are level 43. I've got the helper from the story line. I usually start out using my quickening which gets him all the way down to a certain point which isnt alot HP. Then I try to attack him with swords and it says he's ammune. I've tried with bows, technicks, and magicks. I still can't beat him. H E L P M E P L Z ! ! !

Okay, I would maybe level up a few more levels first. Id say about 46,47

Make sure you you have defensive magic on your characters, (protect, shell, bubble)
Dont go in with a quickening. Just keep at him. Once his barrier goes up hit him with non elemental magic as I think he can shift his immunity. If you need to use quickenings as it's a part of your routine, once he is at critical bring in your quickening party and send him to hell.

Good luck.

When Trickster's HP is low it put's up a barrier making it immune to physical attacks so you need to use magic, non elemental is the best because it absorbs certain elements. You should use drain because aswell as causing the Trickster damage it will also heal the character that uses it.

First off, using quikenings at the beginning of a boss battle is not the best way to go... It wastes your mp, when you could be using it to survive longer.
I beat it and I'm a lower level than you
Just attack it untill it's about 3/4th of the way down, then you should finish it off with a good quikening chian before it's damn physical attack barrier goes up.
Thats the easiest way to kill it.
Hope I help~!
