Could some one tell me how to get different ammo for the bows and the guns because I have no clue and I've looked everywhere!

You can't buy them I'm afraid. You gain them from killing, stealing and poaching. You can also gain them from chests. Make sure you sell your loot too. Not one of a kind loot (rare loot) but you may gain arrows and shots from there.
Depending where you are in the game, cerobi steppe is an excellent shot and arrow source. Lots of chests there.
Sell your loot
2 antartic wind
7 ice crystals
4 spiral incisors will get you ice arrows (element blizzard)
3 earth crystals
4 ichton scale
3 silver liquid will give you mud shot (element earth)

A good way to really score on ammo is to use a diamond armlet in cerobi steppe, due to the types of ammo you can get. With the armlet I got castanellos (bombs +6 atk) assassains arrows (+3 atk chance of instant ko) and icecloud arrows (4 atk ice element). Hope this helps
