Loot

Is there any reason why I should keep the bounty loot obtained from hunts, or should I just sell it. Also what is the purpose of arcana?

There is nothing you can do with loot except selling it. Thats exacly the purpose of the loot. By selling loot is the only way you can obtain Gil, the money of the game. In most of the hunts you will get really rare loot as a reward, mainly pieces so rare you can only obtain one of them in the all game. By selling loot you will be given new items in the bazaar that can't be obtained in any other way. Thats the case of the 2nd strongest weapon in the game. About the Arcana is a really rare piece of loot but you will get some of them along the game. Arcana is one of the pieces of loot you will need to sell to unlock new items at the bazaar (if Im not mistaken, it's for the weapon I talked the Tournesol).

You obtain loot too sell. But I would becareful what you sell as some loot are rare and if you sell you may have troubles obtaining more. When you sell your loot it will unlock items in the bazaar such as weapons, potions, armour you name it.

Arcana is important as it is a type of loot you will need to unlock the Tournesol which is a very powerful sword. By selling I believe 10 arcanas you will be able to purchase 1 high arcana. This is one of the rare loots you need to eventually purchase the Tournesol.

I could list endlessly the loots and their purposes but they have already been listed for us all from other kind members of Supercheats. Just type in Final Fantasy XII in the search engine in the forum and click the link for walkthroughs. This will give you a list of various submissions. There you will find everything you need to know about which loot to sell and which to keep for that special rainy day.

You are better off selling it since thats the main way to make money

Also sell arcana's because they also allow the bazaar to get better items
