where could he be

Theres two questions O.K 1. So in the hunt where I have to kill the wraith(the ghost in the waterways)after you beat it you go back and the kid in still in the residents. He gives you a book and tells you that a moogle has the key to the gates in the waterway. I don't kno if we can curse on this website but where in the h&!! Is the moogle with the key? And.... 2. When I look at these question some ppl can't seem to beat easy monsters(for example Belias) and they need like strategys and stuff but al I do is lay down a 14 hit quickening and it's over. Am I like missing points or exps or lp or anything when I beat monsters with quickenings.... Can anybody out there in know everything land answer these for me. Plzzzzzz!!!!!!

Ok I think theres a bit of a mix up here. After completing the hunt with the Wraith go back to the person who assigned you the hunt and get your reward.
Thats all with that one. She may mention a key but it's not inportant..yet.

The whole moogle with the key thing is for another hunt. This hunt is a mean one. It can be difficult but it has a great reward and is neccessary for a sidequest. If I remember rightly I was atleast level 40 as that key will open the way to parts of the waterway that has some high level creatures. The moogle with the key (if I remember rightly) is called Sorbet. And is one of the moogles in Rabansatre that teleports you from one part to the other. I think he is the one of the South Gate. I know for sure he is one of the the gates.
You would have to have the hunt available to you before the key would come up in conversation with Sorbet. Although the hunt is in the 30s level wise the enemies are tough. So make sure youre strong. You will need shell and protect set up as gambits. Bubble if you have it. I used quickenings alot when I was at that level. (fighting Belias etc) but as I got to the more difficult battles I found that the quickenings werent having the effect that they werent having before. Thats when stratergies come into play. How you kill the enemy makes no difference to the exp or LP as long as you have KO'd the enemy. But don't expect reeling off a 14 hit quickening to help you forever. That could get you 60.000 hp damage but what if the beast has 500,000 hp?!! Your characters will have no mp and that beast is still attacking!! Enjoy them now, but later you will be stratergising!

Enjoy

Well here is a short review of my memory...

The key is with a moogle called Sorbet or something...But try to remember that this moogle will give you a hunt after finishing the first ones you will see on the Chart...This hunt not actually of a trouble, but the process will be...You'll be needing this Key to unlock Garamsythe Waterway which actually contains monsters that seems pretty strong for you even with quickening...If you need the Key so Bad at this early part of the game,You should try to finish all Hunts that goes before it...And you will unlock the Moogling Service as soon as you Arrive to this hunt...Or as soon as you finish it...My memory's a little messesd up,Sorry...

This moogling service allows you to Teleport on every sides of rabanastre...Well,Not really but it takes you to these following places:
1.Muthru bazaar
2.The Sandsea
3.Southgate
4.Westgate
5.Eastgate
Not much huh???But it will serve as shortcuts...

And about the quickening...
It is yes rather useful but only for finishing bosses and killing strong monsters...It will take a large part of the enemy's life if your really that good...If you could make 14 at a time then it's good but if you could beat my record "20 Quickening chains" everytime I use it...Sorry for the Spam...

Moving on...
The quickening is very useful at the start of the game and at the ending of every boss battles...It serves as your BEst BUddy throughout the game...But you will not find it useful when fighting the Game's strongest Bosses and Monster..
You must depend on Weapons,Armor,Strategies,Magics,Tecknicks and how you use your Items wisely...So yeah not actually the Best Buddy throughout the Game but most of the game...

If you wanna ask more or if I left a blank space in your mind, you might as well ask another question...

But I do Hope I cleared out somethings...

The key you mention is the reward for completing the White Mousse hunt.
