Ok I know there is somthing about getting this item but could some one plaese just specify how to get it not just don't pick this up but explain where it is what I am not meant to pick up and if you could plz explain it as simple as possible as I have just done the game and I am going to restart.

This are Certain Treasures that is nnot to be opened...
These are the following:

1) The treasure chest in Lowtown just outside of Old Dylan's place.

2) In the Giza Plains (Dry Season), the first chest you can see, just near the connection with the city of Ranabastre.

3) When sneaking into the palace (Before getting the Goddess Tear), there are several chests in the Cellar. Do not open the chest in the south-east corner (the most south-eastern one).

4) The central of the three chests in the Confiscatory (the place where you get your weapons and armour back after being captured).

5) In the Phon Coast there is an island with 16 chests (in a 4x4 formation) all near each other. The forbidden chest is in the first North row, the second from East. Pay attention to not open it by mistake.

After you've not opened these Treasures you'll get it somewhere on the Necrol of Nabudis where it will appear a 100% with no miss and doesn't reappear...If you know, it can be found somewhere in the rooms in the Necrol of Nabudis...I just don't know where exactly so if you've done the treasures you'll just have to Check every room in the Necrol of Nabudis but Absolutely NOOOO Diamond Armlet is required cause you'll get dark matter if you do...

Maybe your Too far from the story so here's the last resort if your very Patient aand don't wanna start(But you need to be very far from the story):

1)Finish the quest of "Mind Flayer" so Garif who petitioned it will tell you that the Geomancer Yugelu(on the Tent up the hill)wants speak to you....and he'll say there's a great power sleeping in the henne mines(which is actually the most powerful Esper Zodiark)....But he'll say for sure that you need more protection...

2)thought it was easy??? NO!!! The protection is the Espers around the game...
You need 10 espers...you need to get the secret espers(go see walkthrough)and the 4 espers on the story(5 actually)because you'll need Reddas during the mission in Pharos of Ridorina...Thats right,the last 2 espers is on the pharos...But only get Hashmal(while your in the Elevator to the last room a cut scene will play and Hashmal will battle you)which is too easy...Just cast float on your party to avoid his Earth attacks...

3)Now you have all 10 espers(luckily you still have Reddas If your still in the Pharos Storyline)go talk to Yugelu again and he'll say he'll open the path for you...Now teleport to the henne mines,SAVE and go to the place where you fight Tiamat...when you Enter, to the right is a path to the secret section of the henne mines...But I suggest for you to level up to 60+ before you go in cause the monsters inside will definitely Kill you...

4)Wow...Now you can get to the Zodiac spear and to Zodiark the two of the most powerful weapon and esper in the Game...For the Zodiac Spear which is in the area past the Concrete Wall...When you start going west advancing,there's this secret area that is not on the map to the north while your walking forward... The worst part is there's a lot of abysteel on the way...NOOO!!!!I mean the worst part is that the chest only appears 25% and the Zodiac spear need a Diamond Armlet this time BUT only obtainable for 10%....You think it's not fair right???NOOO!!!You'll just need to restart the game from the save point and do it again until the chest and the Spear appears...

Its not so much about what to pick it's about what to miss. There are chests that you need to avoid opening to get the zodiac spear to spawn.
These are the chests not to open
..the chest in front of Old Dalans home in Lowtown, Rabanastre
2chests in the cellars of the Royal Palace
DO NOT OPEN ANY in The confiscatory of Nalbina Dungeons (where you find all your armour and weapons)
DO NOT OPEN ANY in the Vaddu Strand area in Phon Coast..they will be easy to spot because there is about 16 together

Then if you are successful you fill find the Zodiac Spear in the Necrohol of Nabudis amongst 16 other chests..

The chests that you are not meant to pick up are:
The chest outside Old Dalan's house in Rabanastre.
The chests in the southeast corner of the palace cellar in Rabanastre.
Both chests inside the confiscatory room in the Nalbina Dungeon.
One of the 16 chests in the Vaadu Strand area of the Phon Coast it's best not to open any of them.
If you haven't opened any of these chests you will find the Zodiac Spear in the Nechrohol Of Nabudis hall of engulfent light. There is a room there filled with chests the Zodiac Spear will be inside one of them.
