ANSWERS

Well they are both useful depending on what you are fighting but it's best just to use the ice shield for enemies which use ice attacks, as for the shell shield having permanent shell is good but since the shield only has 5 evade it's best to get a shield that has a better evade, it is useful early in the game though.

Id say switch between the 2..if you know an enemy uses that element go with the ice. The shell shield may be low in defence but it has permanent shell which is very useful..dont worry too much! Later on there will be a shield available that will give magic defence too so just wait for that!

Well, both of those shields are good in the beginning of the game, and have their uses, but it depends on the situation, and what shield you need at the time. If you are facing monsters with psychical attacks that are strong hitters, then you should use the Ice shield. On the other hand, if you are facing monsters that use magic to attack your character, then you should equip shell shield because it has a permanent shell affect which lowers the attack power of all spells. It just depends on the Situation.

It would be best to keep both just for the sake of having then but the ice shield is better. Even though the shell shield protects against magic, it also reduces spells such as curing ones. There are many more better shield in the game so just keep playing. The best Shield that I have is the Demon Shield or the Zodiac Escutcheon.

Use the ice shield for now,but save the shell shield for later on.Because most likely you will end up selling your ice shield once a better shop comes around

Shell shield on the otehr hand is special because no other store sells it so it's worth keeping
