What lvl are you on you should be around lvl 50 at that point. If you having trouble beating them use the protective buffs whenever your about to get in a fight. Since there is no way for you to buy healing items you will have to rely on the healing spells so have some gambits set up for those. The imperials are pretty easy if you have a good shield you will be able to block most of their attacks. The Crystal Shields were available in Archades if you got them then equip them, they will also allow you to black magic attacks aswell. The imperials can be affected by a lot of status effects blind will be the most useful.

If youre dying there then you are too low on your character levels. You have a boss coming up and if you can't survive against the imperials you wont survive the boss battle. Go back in to the Uplands and fight, some beasts will drop embroided tippets which when equipped doubles your experience gained. Get yourself some good armour, good weapons will all the money you can get from selling loot. And use spells. Get them spells bought, cura curaja then you wont have to rely so heavily on potions.

Cast all the buffs that you can. Protect, shell, haste. If you have enough magic for it, then cast the spells as soon as you can. Make sure that you go into all the little side rooms, as some of them contain Healing Items, and Crystals for you to save at. If you need help getting through the level... Then here you go.

Just look through one of those, and you will be all set.
