Line-up and Weapons

Alright, I am at the point where reddas is in my party and I am supposed to be going to the pharos but I am getting caught up on hunts and getting rare weapons and stuff. So all of my characters are lvl 99 (all 6), and I was wondering who I should have as my front 3. Right now it's Vaan with the Zodiac Spear, Basch with the tournesol, and Ashe with the saggiterious bow (think thats the spelling). Or should I have other people in the front lines. And what should I have for a ranged weapon, stick with what I have or go for a crossbow or formalhut or something else?

ANSWERS

I use Vaan, Basch, and either Balthier or Fran. They are all level ninety-nine and have all the upgrades from the license board. Guns are weaker, and it's hard to find a stronger model to upgrade to, so throw those out. You should just stick with with bows, and crossbows. Bombs are also good ranged weapons to use, here is my list of weapons.

Vaan-Zodiac spear.
Basch-Ultima Blade.
Balthier-Whale Whisker.
Penelo-I think it's Artemis bow.
Fran- Magic, and bare hands.
Ashe-Volcano Bomb.

So as you can see, I have all different types, but no guns because they are useless. So stick with the bows, or crossbows, and you will be fine. I will say the Ashe's bomb is very useful, and has a pretty good range. I tend to keep Vaan, and Basch out, and switch the third character around when I want to, to get a different feel for it, try it.

I think that the characters you are using are the best they are the three characters I mainly use and you have very good equipment on them. The Sagittarius bow you have is better than most other ranged weapons I'd stick with that. It has higher attack power than any of the guns or crossbows.
