I,ve just got to archades, haven,t been to the lab yet, wanted to catch up on some hunts.. Just beat marilith, mindflayer, and just had a hard time getting to bloodwing(think thats what it was called) my levels aren,t high enough to have gone for the esper down there so I bottled an ran for my life...stuck on trickster, waiting for some help on that..thanx. Have I got many more to do before I can get to the antlion hunt?

Bloodwing is the little, red, annoying, bat in the Barhiem Passage if I remember correctly. I would not try to get the esper down there till your above 55, then you'd probably own him, or beat him easily. I have answered your trickster question, so you can read the answer soon. I don't think you have many more to go, just keep leveling up, completing hunts, and checking in with Montblanc reguarly, and eventually you should see the application for the Antlion hunt.

Wait until you get Curaja before you go for the Bloodwing since the Barheim Passage is full of undead enemies this will be a big help. As for Zalera straight away at the start of the battle kill all the dead bones because as long as they are there you won't be able to attack him. Make sure you have plenty of Phoenix Downs aswell as Raise and Arise because you will be Ko'd a lot and also make sure you have the usual protective buffs. For the Trickster again have the protective buffs Protect, Shell, Haste, and Bravery just keep attacking and Monid will help in this fight so it's best that you keep him alive. When you bring the Trickster down to critical HP and it will get a barrier that protects it from physical attacks so cast Faith on all you characters at this point and keep using Drain.

I beat Zalera at level 34 today. I had an old save file, so I was going to take a challenge when I saw this topic. I didn't have dispel to remove his Haste/Shell/Protect and Reflect. It was a tough battle and the time almost ran out. I think the file was before Mt. Bur-Omisace since I had Larsa in the party.
I have also taken out Adrammelech at this point.

Lol adrammelech was the third esper I got I think I defeated zalera at level 36 or so Im not sure well so far I have 7 espers the easiest to defeat being Belias, Mateus and Adrammelech, Zalera for me the last three espers out of the 7 being very fustrating for me were hmm I can't remember, oh well. Quickenings in large chains do help... Haven't played the game in a month
