Fable 2 Guide - Donating to the Light
You can now pay a visit to the Temple of the Light regularly to make donations in return for positive points. The most sensible course of action is to donate 1,000 gold at a time, giving you 25 good and 25 purity points each time. Donate 500 gold in total and then one more upon the monks' request between midday and 1 pm to earn the title of Harvest Benefactor and attaining the weapon The Rising Sun. You need to donate over 10,000 gold in the one go for this, so one for the future perhaps.
With that in mind, travel to the Chamber of Fate via fast travel or using the Cullis Gate on top of Bower Lake Hill as the first step on the next mammoth quest, The Hero of Will.

[size=12][/size] Ok, after reading all the comments regarding the Temple of Light Donations I too am having the same problem.. I now understand why for my aviator is quite corrupt... I have donated about 20,000 and it still has not given me anything nor gone away... Maybe there is a glich in the game but I will not allow myself to be stuck on this.. I have progressed so far in the game that this seems so small to worry about.. If there are any pointers and or clues to this please info me... Otherwise I will simply say that the game is not operating the way it should.. Enjoy this game alot... Thank you
if the temple is smashed up you obviesly didnt save it from the temple of darkness!so you have to start a new game.this time dont screw it up!

how do you donate to the temple give it to a monk or what
If you can't donate it's because you didn't help the temple of light before going to the spire (you are warned before you go that there will be consequences for things you didn't do...) if you are stuck in that case, time to go evil! Go to the temple of shadows and donate for a different weapon! Yay for you! xD
Next play through you know what to do to insure you have that weapon :3
i can donate the temp. of light is smashed
When the Temple Of Light is smashed, that means that you have either done some Temple Of Shadow Quests or that you bought the Temple Of Shadow, because that destroys the Temple Of Light.
Likewise, if you buy the Temple Of Light, the Temple Of Shadow is supposed to be destroyed.
To do this quest properly, you should not do any Temple Of Shadow quests.
Also just donate some gold to the donating thing (not to the monks, though I'm not even sure that's possible), until you get the title of the next "Harvest Benefactor".
Then, when you have that title, you have to donate to the temple between 12:00 and 13:00 pm, no sooner not later.
I'm not sure about the amount, maybe its 1k , maybe 10k.
Maybe you should try 1k first, then if that doesn't work you can always donate 10k.
Also, after being back from the spire the first time, the temple and it's surroundings are bigger.
There is a second building, there is water, nice statues, etc, and you can actually bu the second temple building for around 90k to 100k.
Btw, there seems to be a glitch which causes this quest to never end.
You can keep donating to help the temple and to get morality points and green orbs, and you can keep getting the title of Harvest Benefactor, and then donate at the appropriate time to get the weapon again, and again and again.
Maybe it can be sold for a large sum, but I haven't tried that so I'm not sure about that.
Help me, i wanted to donate to temple of light. But when i got there the whole temple is smashed up and only a guy from teh asasination society is there. I finished the main story already
then you did a temple of shadows quest.
The quest stays so you can still donate for morality and purity points..

have got to do 1k first then11k
it's not that the sun will go into the middle of the room, its that at noon the sun hovers over the statue up against the wall near the donating plate. where the monk is praying you'll see the sun move slowly as the time passes. but you have to do it between 12noon and 1pm.
Ok I was there from noon til 1:30pm and the sun never reached the middle of that floor. idk what is going on but apparently this is a quest that does give some troubles. I know all about moving around and it makes time travel faster and I know about the lower amounts and such but I am not a dumb person by any means, lol it just is not working.
