Follow up information for my last question (the one before the question about iPad/iPod FR.
I've cleaned the game up a tad and compared it to a working FireRed of my friends. Some of the gold stripes in the game appear a bit rusted and the whiteish strip they are on it a tad green. I cleaned up the game, and my DS still recognizes it just fine. I tried to migrate the Pokemon, and it was working! But then it said "saving data on soul silver and fire red... Save failed." the Pokemon in the game did not appear cheated, they were all weak. I tried again and it simply says "the save data could not be read. There is either no save data or the data is corrupt." When I click the game to play it, it shows "Gameboy" and plays the noise, then goes to a white screen and stays there. If I turn up the sound, an ugly scratchy noise is heard. This happened before I cleaned it up at all. I'm now sure that the game's rust is the reason for it's failure. Does anyone know how to clean the game so it will work? It's not a big deal to me, but it is fun trying to fix it and I'd like it fixed, at the very least so I can sell it to GameStop.
