How do you get the metal coat on fire red/leaf green/ruby/sapphire/emerald?

yes you can, but the sad part is that you have to beat the elite 4. That means i cant get scizor till after the elite 4 :~(

Is there only one metal coat or more on island 5 ??

In Emerald you get it from a magnimite in New Mauville I don't know about the other ones though.

You can get a metal coat by pressing A on one of the rocks on Memorial Pillar. Alternatively you can defeat all the floors of one of the events (Cant remember which, you get all four of the Trading/Evolution items from doing all four of them) in the Battle Tower.

if you catch an onix there is a posibility that it could be holding a metal coat
Fire red
First go to island 5 and find your way to the Memorial Pillar. You need to Surf and once you find the memorial pillar go to the right of the island and go down and it is sitting by the shore

I got two metal coats by catching magnemite in Pokemon Emerald I think there's a chance that they are carrying one
