How do I get a black charmander<BR>I was told to wander around in the forest but I've done that for days..

It depends on the game. You will not normally find a charmander in any game. Simply save and repeat getting a charmander until it is shinny(Black). You could also hatch eggs by putting a charmander with a ditto. Keep hatching until you get a black charmander from it. My cousin hatched an egg and got a swampert instead of a mudkip so, anythings possible.

There is no such thing as a Black Charmander. I believe you are talking about a Shiny Charmander, which are Yellow/Gold. It will turn Black once it evolves into Charizard. There are a few ways to try to get a Shiny Pokemon. However, Shiny Pokemon are extremely rare and will take some time to find one.

You could try SR, or System Reset. To do this, you'll have to do a New Game. Before you except Charmander from Professor Oak, save the game. Once you do that, choose Charmander. If it is not Shiny, turn off your system and try again. You can do this until you have a Shiny Charmander.

You can also try to hatch a Shiny Charmander. If you put two Pokemon of the same Egg Group in the DayCare Center on Four Island, they will have Eggs. There is a very small chance that the Egg hatches into a Shiny Pokemon. You could do this until one of the Pokemon are Shiny.

You could also try to trade for a Shiny Charmander.

No way is easier than another. Hatching an Egg and SR have the same chances on the Pokemon being Shiny.
