I ask one more time: How can I continiue playing after I have beaten the Elite Four? When I beat Gary, and have talked to Prof. Oak, it came "Credits" and then I had to start all over again. I have heard something about changing some options, but I don't know which and how.

You can still play. Just go to one island and talk to celio. He'll give you a task. Get the ruby at one island and the sapphire at the team rocket's warehouse.

Even though you beat Gary, went in the Hall of Fame, and the Credits were shown, the game is far from over. The games just puts you back in your House in Pallet Town. Once you have gone into the Hall of Fame, try to catch 60 Pokemon. After you have catch 60 Pokemon, go to Professor Oak. He will give you the National Pokedex. Once you have it, go to Celio on One Island. He will ask for your help in finding the Ruby and Sapphire. After your done talking with him, go to the Team Rocket Members on One Island. After you defeat them, you can access the cave they dug. Deep inside the cave, you will find the Ruby. If you give it to Celio, he will give you a Pass that allows you to go to Four Island, Five Island, Six Island, and Seven Island.
