Question for Pokemon FireRed

How do I catch Moltres with 20 ultra balls, 20 great balls, 1 nest ball, and 45 regular pokeballs? My Pokemon lineup is as follows: Blastoise, some evolution of Pidgey, Fearow, Tentacool, Beedrill, and Gloom. Can anybody help me?

Try and get Moltres' HP low. When you have done this, make Moltres paralyzed or fall asleep. After this, throw your Ultra Balls. Hopefully one will catch it.

Hope this helps!

You don't need so much of balls just to capture moltres. If your blastroise is of the same level(around 50), use some weak water attacks like water gun or use a hydropump.(when you use hydropump, you run the risk of killing moltres,so be careful and save the game in front of moltres so if you kill him you can try again.) you might need a Pokemon that knows hypnosis. Anyway, bring it's HP to red and use a couple of ultraballs.

I actually had a strange Moltres catch just now. I had it down to 1HP (after it endured) and had it Paralyzed, but threw 17 Ultra balls and still didn't catch it so I turned the game off and back on to try again and on my next attempt had it down to 1HP but didn't have it sleeping or przed. Since I was unable to switch Pokemon, I left my Gyrados out until Moltres killed so I could switch to one with sleep powder. In order to dilly dally, I threw a few poke balls (since it would not do any further damage to Moltres and would waste any Ultra Balls). The 3rd poke ball caught Moltes - that's right, just your run of the mill poke ball. My conslusion: catching that bird takes a lot of luck and chance on your side.
