Acid Drip

Acid Drip (20G) In Mob of the Dead, convert a weapon using a kit.

This Achievement is part of the ten Achievements that are added to the base game by the Uprising DLC Map/Expansion. Uprising is added to the base game through purchase via the Xbox LIVE Marketplace / PSN for 1200 MSP / $14.99 respectively. It adds 10 Achievements and 250G / 10 Trophies to the game.

The Acid Drop Achievement is largely considered to be one of the few in the game that is, for the most part, overly-dependent upon luck, and is the sort of Achievement / Trophy that is the least liked and enjoyed by most players, so anything that you can do to swing luck in your favor is obviously to be desired...

To begin an attempt at unlocking Acid Drip you start out with obtaining the Blundergat, which is a weapon that is obtained as a side-effect of working to unlock the Achievement Pop Goes the Weasel, and you may wish to combine those efforts.

To complete the unlocking you will need to obtain the three component parts to the Acid Gat Kit, which is where the luck portion of this one comes into play - however the parts that are required can be found in the following locations:

Acid Bottle: This part is located in the Infirmary, and will be found either on the floor in the chair room or on the table in the main room.

Case: This bit is found in the Michigan Cell Blocks - with a little luck which you need, you will find it in somewhere in the Blocks - you will need to search for it and, if you are not lucky, it may take a lot of effort as you look in pretty much every corner of the Cell Block and cells.

Machine: This bit will be found in the Warden's Offices either near where the Plane Part / Aeroplane Fuel is located, or on the box.

Once you have all three of the component parts, you can then obtain the Blundergat either as an element of completing Part 5 of Pop Goes the Weasel, or by following the first five steps of that Achievement quest in order to obtain it there.

To complete the quest and unlock this Achievement simply upgrade your Blundergat, and then draw the upgraded weapon, the act of so doing being the trigger that unlocks the Achievement! Well done!
