I didn't think it would've been possible for a toddler to be in the house on it's own without any adults...
But try moving one of the parents into the house with the toddler and moving them out together? I wouldn't really know...
But I hoped this helped ..

You can move a household into another home it worked for me and here's how:
1. Have an empty house- so have a sim move in with another sim, or just buy another one.
2. Click on the green or grey house icon on top of your empty home you will get a few options such as: Add new sim, relocate existing sim, relocate household or demolish house.
3. Choose relocate household, pick a family you want to move. If the family of Sims you wanted to relocate isn't highlighted tap I and it should tell you what you have to do to unlock it. E..g for example mine was to move some pets out because there were too many sims living together. I did that and tried again and the box was highlighted so I could move my family of four into a new home- mansion. It works with any house by the way.
4.So when you've done what was requested to move your family out ( it would probably be to relocate your pets) you can the relocate your sums. It works for me so try it out. Hope that helped 😊 if you need any tips

Also, if any members of the household are busy (or at work), you can't relocate the household until they are finished :-)

What you need to do is whistle the toddler to its new parents home. Then delete the old parents (you can add them back later in a different house) and since the toddler cannot stay home by itself it will be forced to hang around the new home. Hope this worked

I'm confused I just starting playing. But I'm having this same issue but my toddler can be left home alone. I relocated my sims by divorcing them. Now I can't get the toddler in the same household. I can whistle them. But at the house page the toddlers at the top as owners. Any information on how to fix this.

Family drama!
We're evil people.
When you click on an empty house you have a bunch of options and one of them is move a sim - DON'T do that one. Next to it, you have the option to move a household for 8,000. It's a lot cheaper and more permanent than 5,000 for each sim.

This happened to me, I had 2 sims who has a preteen as a whole family then I made them divorce, and my female sim got married to a different one and they moved in that house but the other male sim (father) is with the daughter in a different house.. So I just have to whistle her.. Which just ruined my game because I spent a lot of time saving for the beachside escape last year.. Mhmm

You can move a baby!
If you bought the new home and you want to transfer the family plus baby, click on the new home, click "view house", then add rooms, then the game will allow you to move the family
Guest answered: Added 22nd Jun 2014, ID #629447
All you have to do is wait for them to get older
Unicorn rainbow awesomeness answered: Added 30th Jun 2014, ID #630760
All I know is you can divorce the parents, then move one of them, and make them good friends and move them into each other's house and remarry them. Then I don't know what to do.

I am having the same problem I kicked my adult sim out of the house then I wanted to move them in with another guy I wanted the mom to marry I made them good friends and the mom moved in with the other guy she moved in and then my toddlers r living in a house by themselves and idk what to do and I don't want them to stay in that house until they grow older because I want it to be one preteen and one toddler living with them I need help I'm so confused
Guest answered: Added 6th Jul 2014, ID #631513
You don't have to divorce the parents! All you have to do is when you want to move the whole family to a new house, you click on the house and it will give a couple options(add new sim, view house...etc). Scroll until you see the option to move a household. Then it will let you pick which family you want to move into the newhouse. This costs 8,000 simoleans.

I had the samé problem! I also divorced them, and now the child lives on it's own!!
- well, you can remove the child from town and have a new one
- or, you can try getting the child the ones on the other house of your married couples!!
Hope this helped

That happened to me too. I tried to move a father and toddler off a boat into a house and ended up stranding the preteen on the boat. The father can't move back in because they can't have a relationship that will end in 'partner' where they can move in. The best I could do was have adults come and take care of the tasks that a preteen can't do for herself. Later I made her a teen and she was fine living alone on the boat. When I finished the adult phase I made her an adult right away. I think this happened because the toddler was adopted using the phone instead of brought up from an infant crib. Since then I don't move any families with adopted children.

U did the right thing by divorcing them, what I did is when I was in that situation except the toddler didn't have parents, I made the toddler good friends with another sim and eventually you get the option "Ask to be adopted" and there you go. Hope this helps and also, this only works if the toddler is living in a house by itself
Guest answered: Added 9th Jan 2015, ID #652422
I think they can't be engaged they have to be married .

Sorry if it doesn't help.

You get the toddler to ask the parents to "move in"
