Zombie Army 4: Dead War Weapons Guide

To survive in Zombie Army 4: Dead War you are going to need weapons, this Weapons Guide will list all the different types of weapons that are available in the game, how to unlock them, and how you can further upgrade them for mods which will enable them to perform better against the zombie hordes you encounter. We also tell you what we consider to be the best weapon in Zombie Army 4: Dead War.

Gewehr 43 (Rifle)

This is a German semi-automatic rifle that has a large magazine and quick reload. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Electrified Barrel

• Level 1 – Incendiary Mod: Barrel heats up over time. When glowing, the next round will be an incendiary shot.

• Level 2 – Incendiary Mod: Increase incendiary blast. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Recoil Grip: Reduced Recoil. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Incendiary Mod: Greatly increased incendiary blast. Unlocks at Rank 20.

Magazine

• Level 1 – Extended Mag: This will increase your magazine size rounds to 15

• Level 2 – Extended Mag: Magazine size increased to 20. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Extended Mag: Magazine size increased to 30. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Full Auto: Fully Automatic firing. Unlocks at Rank 20

Scope

• Level 1 – Scope: Max zoom increased to x4

• Level 2 – Scope: Max zoom increased to x8. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Vampir Scope: Every critical hit will heal you. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Electric Bayonet: When charged, the next melee will deal electric damage. Unlocks at Rank 20

M1 Garand (Rifle)

This is an American semi-automatic rifle that has a high rate of fire and is capable of dealing a lot of damage. It is however hard to control and has a slightly slower reload time compared to the other two rifles. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Flame Barrel

• Level 1 – Incendiary Mod: Barrel heats up over time. When glowing, the next round will be an incendiary shot.

• Level 2 – Incendiary Mod: Increase incendiary blast. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Recoil Grip: Reduced Recoil. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Incendiary Mod: Greatly increased incendiary blast. Unlocks at Rank 20.

Magazine

• Level 1 – Clip Mod: Clip extended to 10 rounds

• Level 2 – Clip Mod: Clip extended to 12 rounds. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Clip Mod: Clip extended to 16 rounds. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Reload Anytime: You can now reload before the clip is empty. Unlocks at Rank 20

Scope

• Level 1 – Scope: Max zoom increased to x6

• Level 2 – Scope: Max zoom increased to x10. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Vampir Scope: Every critical hit will heal you. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Flame Bayonet: When charged, the next melee will burn enemies. Unlocks at Rank 20

Mosin-Nagant M91/30 (Rifle)

This powerful Russian rifle has plenty of fire power, it is capable of obliterating zombies. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Explosive Rounds

• Level 1 – Explosive Mod: Charges over time. When primed the next round will be an explosive shot

• Level 2 – Explosive Mod: Slightly increase blast radius. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Explosive Mod: Greatly increase blast radius. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Damage Mod: Greatly increases damage output. Unlocks at Rank 20.

Magazine

• Level 1 – Bolt Mod: Clip extended to 10 rounds

• Level 2 – Bolt Mod: Clip extended to 12 rounds. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Bolt Mod: Clip extended to 16 rounds. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Bolt Mod: You can now reload before the clip is empty. Unlocks at Rank 20

Scope

• Level 1 – Scope: Max zoom increased to x8

• Level 2 – Scope: Max zoom increased to x12. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Vampir Scope: Every critical hit will heal you. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Heavy Bayonet: Increases melee damage and the chance of knocking down enemies. Unlocks at Rank 20

M30 Drilling (Shotgun)

This secondary weapon has three 12 gauge barrels that has a devestating effecting against the zombie hordes. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Flame Barrel

• Level 1 – Incendiary Mod: Barrel Hats up over time. When glowing, the next round will be an incendiary shot.

• Level 2 – Incendiary Mod: Increase incendiary blast. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Sawn Off: Reducing the length of the barrel reduces recoil, increases spread, and increases reload speed. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Incendiary Mod: Greatly increased incendiary blast. Unlocks at Rank 20.

Range

• Level 1 – Gun Sight: Slightly increases shot range

• Level 2 – Gun Sight: Moderately increases shot range. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Trigger Mod: One trigger pull fires all three rounds. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Flame Bayonet: When charged, the next melee will burn enemies. Unlocks at Rank 20

Damage

• Level 1 – Damage Mod: Slightly increases pellets per shell

• Level 2 – Damage Mod: Moderately increases pellets per shell. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Damage Mod: Greatly increases pellets per shell. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Slug Damage: Swaps pellets for a single high powered slug. This increases the accuracy, range, and dismemberment. Unlocks at Rank 20

P44 (Assault Rifle)

This German Assault Rifle is a secondary weapon that has good control, rate of fire, and reload speed. It does however suffer from a short cartridge. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Explosive Rounds

• Level 1 – Explosive Mod: Charges over time. When primed the next round will be an explosive shot

• Level 2 – Explosive Mod: Slightly increase blast radius. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Explosive Mod: Greatly increase blast radius. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Semi-Auto Mod: This gives you semi-auto fire and increases chance of crit hit. Unlocks at Rank 20.

Accuracy

• Level 1 – Grip: This slightly increases accuracy of shots and reduces recoil

• Level 2 – Grip: This moderately increases accuracy of shots and reduces recoil. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Vampir Scope: Every critical hit will heal you. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Scope: This will attack a scope. Unlocks at Rank 20

Damage

• Level 1 – Damage Mod: Slightly increase damage output

• Level 2 – Damage Mod: Moderately increase damage output. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Extended Mag: Magazine now has 45 bullets. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Heavy Bayonet: Increases melee damage and the chance of knocking down enemies. Unlocks at Rank 20

Thompson (Submachine Gun)

This American submachine gun which is commonly known as the 'Tommy Gun' is a secondary weapon that has a high rate of fire and low recoil. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Divine Shot Barrel

• Level 1 – Divine Mod: Charges over time. When glowing the next shot deals double damage

• Level 2 – Divine Mod: Moderately increases the number of divine shots when charged. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Divine Mod: Moderately increases the number of divine shots when charged. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Rapid Fire bolt: Modified bolt greatly increases the rate of fire. Unlocks at Rank 20.

Magazine

• Level 1 – Extended Mag: Magazine now has 30 bullets. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 2 – Extended Mag: Magazine now has 40 bullets. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Drum Magazine: Increases rounds to 60. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Serrated Bayonet: increases melee damage, and chances of dismemberment.

Damage

• Level 1 – Damage Mod: Slightly increase damage output

• Level 2 – Damage Mod: Moderately increase damage output. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Grip: Moderately increases accuracy and reduces recoil. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Ammo Attachment Mod: increases the durability of Ammo Attachments. Unlocks at Rank 20

Trench Gun (Shotgun)

This American pump-action shotgun is capable of dealing a lot of damage and is effective at clearing out hordes of zombies. The downside of this weapon is that it has a slow rate of fire. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Electrified Barrel

• Level 1 – Electric Mod: Charges over time. When fully charged, the next round will be electric.

• Level 2 – Electric Mod: increase damage output. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Electric Mod: Electrical arcs will hit zombies. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Speed Grip: Improved Grip added to increase the rate of fire. Unlocks at Rank 20.

Magazine

• Level 1 – Cartridge Rail: Allows 6 shells to be chambered

• Level 2 – Cartridge Rail: Allows 7 shells to be chambered. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Cartridge Rail: Allows 8 shells to be chambered. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Electric Bayonet: When charged, the next melee will deal electric damage. Unlocks at Rank 20

Damage

• Level 1 – Damage Mod: Slightly increase damage output

• Level 2 – Damage Mod: Moderately increase damage output. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Damage Mod: Greatly increases damage output. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Slug Damage: Swaps pellets for a single high powered slug. This increases the accuracy, range, and dismemberment. Unlocks at Rank 20

C96 (Pistol)

This secondary weapon is a German semi-automatic pistol that has a high capacity magazine. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Flame Barrel

• Level 1 – Incendiary Mod: Barrel Hats up over time. When glowing, the next round will be an incendiary shot.

• Level 2 – Incendiary Mod: Increase incendiary blast. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Incendiary Mod: Increase incendiary blast. Unlocks at Rank 20

M1911 (Pistol)

This is an American single-action, semi-automatic pistol that has a large magazine and high rate of fire. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Divine Shot Barrel

• Level 1 – Divine Mod: Charges over time. When glowing the next shot deals double damage

• Level 2 – Divine Mod: Moderately increases the number of divine shots when charged. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Divine Mod: Moderately increases the number of divine shots when charged. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Scope: This will attack a scope. Unlocks at Rank 20.

Magazine

• Level 2 – Damage Mod: Moderately increase damage output. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Grip: Moderately increases accuracy and reduces recoil. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Serrated Bayonet: increases melee damage, and chances of dismemberment. Unlocks at Rank 20

Webley MKVI (Pistol)

This secondary weapon is a poweful British top-break revolver. Upgrades that can be equipped to this weapon to improve its performance are:

Explosive Rounds

• Level 1 – Explosive Mod: Charges over time. When primed the next round will be an explosive shot

• Level 2 – Explosive Mod: Slightly increase blast radius. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Explosive Mod: Greatly increase blast radius. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Damage Mod: Greatly increases damage output. Unlocks at Rank 20

Accuracy

• Level 1 – Sight Mod: Slightly increases accuracy.

• Level 2 – Sight Mod: Moderately increases accuracy. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Sight Mod: Greatly increases accuracy. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Speed Loader: Greatly reduces reload time. Unlocks at Rank 20

Recoil

• Level 1 – Grip: This slightly increases accuracy of shots and reduces recoil

• Level 2 – Grip: This moderately increases accuracy of shots and reduces recoil. Unlocks at Rank 10

• Level 3 – Grip: This slightly increases the accuracy of shots and reduces recoil. Unlocks at Rank 20

• Level 3 – Heavy Bayonet: Increases melee damage and the chance of knocking down enemies. Unlocks at Rank 20
