It is essential that you understand how Fast Travel works in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands as it will enable you to explore the world quickly without having to deal with most of the random encounters in the Overworld. It will also allow you to quickly get to weapon stores, available quests, and the town's resources. This How to Fast Travel will tell you everything you need to know.
In order to start the fast travel process you need to bring up the Map menu. On the left side of the map are a selection of locations you can fast travel to. When you visit an area they will become brown on the map. The areas on the map that are black indicates places you have not visited before, and you will not be able to fast travel there until you have found a fast travel machine in that area.
There are three types of Fast Travel you can utilize through the Map menu in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. You can Local Travel to a Fast Travel Station on an explorable map, return to the Overworld, or Town Portal back to Brighthoof. Knowing what type of Map Travel to use will make completing the various tasks you are given in the game easier.
Use Local Travel this for explorable map completion, this also includes the side quests and gathering all the collectibles. To fast travel using this method you need to go to the Map screen and navigate to the explorable map you want to travel to, then select the Local Travel point from the Fast Travel List. When you have finished exploring the map you can return to the Overworld by using Overworld Global Travel. This will place you directly outside the Explorable Area you have just left. You can combine Local Travel and Overworld Global Travel to quickly get around the Overworld.
In order to unlock the third Fast Travel method which is another Global Travel Option which gives you the ability to teleport to Brighthoof you must firs remove the curse from Brighthoof which can be achieved early in the game. Once the curse has been lifted you will unlock the ability to Town Portal. This method of Fast Travel crates a portal in the city of Brighthoof that you will be able to use to return to the exact point of the explorable area that you left. Town Portals are particularly useful as you are not required to reconnect to the lobby between each boss fight making them ideal for farming bosses for loot in multiplayer.
