Energy is the most important motive in the game as it is what the Sims need to be able to complete each of the Career and Hobby Events, without energy the Sim will not be able to work or do any of the required activities. Sims can replenish their energy a number of ways, from going to bed, taking a shower, using the toilet, having a bath to eating cupcakes. You can view what energy filling options are available for each individual Sim and recharge them at any time by tapping on the Sims energy bar. These options though will either only be available once per day or once every few hours for each individual Sim.

Going to Bed

Sleeping in the bed can give your Sim almost half of energy motive bar and 4 XP. Your Sim can take a nap again and recharge energy after 23 hours.

Using the Toilet

Your Sim can gain a small portion of energy and 2 XP by using the toilet. The toilet can be used again to recharge your Sims' energy after 2 hours.

Taking a Shower

This will replenish a few Energy points and give your Sim 2 XP. You need to wait for 5 hours before you can use the shower to recharge again.

Take a Bath

Having a Bath

Taking a bath in the bathtub will recharge your Sims' energy bar by half and also give them 3 XP. The bathtub can be used again after 1 day and 21 hours of waiting.

Eating a Cupcake

Your Sims' engergy bar can be quickly replenished by eating a cupcake. Cupcakes are expensive costing 75 SimCash each and will give you 30 Energy points. You can get a cupcake each day by completing the tasks in the Daily To Do List and sometimes as a daily log in reward from one of your Sims.

Objects

You can add a specific required object to your household, the amount of energy you will recieve from it will depend on the object. Some of these objects though can be hard to obtain if you do not want to spend SimCash purchasing them.
