1: The Sims 3 (2009)
The Sims 3 was the third major title in the franchise and was a commercial success selling 1.4 million copies in its first week. The game has sold over 10 million copies worldwide since its 2009 release, making it one of the best selling PC games of all time. There was a total of 11 expansion packs released for The Sims 3.

2: The Sims 2 (2004)
The second major title in the franchise The Sims 2 had 8 expansion packs and 9 stuff packs. The game was a commercial success selling 1 million copies in its first 10 days which was a record at the time. In 2008 it was announced that 100 million copies of The Sims 2 had been sold worldwide.

3: The Sims 4 (2014)
The fourth major title in the franchise The Sims 4 initially recieved mixed reviews when it was released, with the majority of criticism directed towards its lack of content. Since its launch, it became the best selling PC game of 2014 and 2015 selling over 5 million copies worldwide.

4: The Sims (2000)
Released in 2000 The Sims is the debut title in the franchise and by March 2002 it had sold more than 11.3 copies worldwide surpassing Myst as the best-selling PC game in history. There was a total of 7 expansion packs, and 2 exclusive deluxe edition content packs released for the first title in the franchise.

5: The Sims 2: Pets (2006)
Released in 2006 The Sims 2: Pets is the fourth expansion pack in The Sims 2 series of games. It was also sold as a stand-alone game for several consoles and has sold over 6 million copies worldwide. The main concept of The Sims 2: Pets is to allow the player to own and raise pets.
