Servans are tamed demons that Arnice can summon in order to aid her hunt against the fiends of the Night. She can command up to four Servans at a time. Each Servan has their own strength, weakness, abilities, and skills. They can also influence Arnice's Transformation. You can modify the servan team you'll carry in battle, change their equipment, and summon new servans using Fetishes in the Servan Formation menu.

Servan Party
Deck Loadout: Arnice can carry up to 4 different servans, each assigned to a button. You can change a Servan's accessory and strengthen them from this screen. They can even equip accessories that can be worn by Arnice (unless specified Arnice or Servan Only) Servans can only equip one accessory at a time.

Once you acquired the skill to increase your Deck Loadout, Arnice can carry four different groups of servans so you can change your party composition with ease. Take note that when changing a group, all summoned Servans will be un-summoned and you'll have to spend SP again to summon the Servans in the selected deck load out. You can switch between Decks by pressing R2.

Leveling Up Servans
Servans earn EXP by defeating enemies. All summoned servans gain 100% of the EXP earned while unsummoned servans and those in other decks will still earn 20% of the EXP gained. That said, it's wise to fill all your available deck slots to allow your reserve servans to grow.

As servans level up, they'll mature based on three factors: Status Increase, Ability Learned, and Skill Strength. Only one factor can be applied per level up. Stat increase permanently boosts a servan's stat, Ability Learned gives you an option to choose one of the two possible abilities the servan can learn (choose carefully since this is non-reversible), and finally, Skill Strength improves an existing skill and makes it more potent.

Servan Skills and Abilities
Servans have two types of abilities: Native and Extra abilities. Native Ability is the very first ability that the servan comes along with when it is actualized. Native abilities are randomly placed to servans when they're "born" in this world. You can overwrite native abilities by using Ability Change items (Marks).

Extra abilities are unlocked when a Servan levels up. You'll be given two abilities that the servan can learn and you'll have to select one of them. Prioritize "Party" skills since the whole party will benefit from its effects. Also, I recommend selecting abilities that complement the servan's attack pattern and skills.

Strengthening and Transformation Factor
Arnice's transformations are determined by the Transformation Factor or the combination of the Servans equipped in your current party/deck. Each Servan has a transformation factor value displayed under their model or portrait in the Deck Loadout screen or the Servans' individual status screens. A Servan's transformation factor value can be increased by giving them the same fetishes (summoning materials) as their class/ type.

Giving Fetishes to Servans also increases their stats permanently.

Dismissing Servans
Sending Servans to oblivion is basically releasing them permanently. There's no way to recover a servan sent to oblivion so be very careful when using this option.

Servan Events
Every now and then, there will be events where you can interact with your servans and spend time with them. They have no direct impact to the story or the servans themselves but these scenes can be fun to watch.
