How to unlock the Shop and get Potions

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is like most other combat-based role-playing games in that there are consumable HP potions that your character can drink to replenish their health. This How to get Potions guide tells you how to acquire them during the game.

HP potions in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds are consumable items that are essential for helping to keep your character alive when they are faced with dire situations like fighting a formidable boss or while fighting many enemies at the same time. Having several HP potions at your disposal can make all the difference during these battles.

To begin with you need to progress far enough into the game so that you meet the NPC that is known as Bert. To reach this point in the main storyline should take you around an hour or two. You will find Bert at Swift Solutions, he is a short bearded man. Bert however will not sell you the potions until you have unlocked the shop.

How to Unlock the Shop

In order to access the shop you will need to have received a quest called 'Tainted Autumn Forest'. You will get this quest when you complete the prerequisite quest called 'Outsiders', where you are required to deliver a letter to Guard Officer Wei who you will be able to find near a decorative cannon which is by the city's arched gates.

How to Buy Potions at the Shop

At the shop there will be three types of potions you can purchase.

- Small HP potion

- Medium HP potion

- Large HP potion

The following steps will tell you how to buy potions at the shop.

Step 1:

Select the triple bar icon in the upper-right corner and choose 'Shop' on the right-hand list of icons.

Step 2:

Choose the next 'Shop' icon and then click or tap on 'Basic Shop'

Step 3:

Finally, select the 'Potions & Consumables' tab to view a purchasing screen for HP Potions.

HP Potions Cost

50 small HP potions cost 300 gold, and it is available at the start of the game. 50 Medium HP potions can be unlocked at level 30 or higher. You can then purchase it for 600 Gold. 50 Large HP potions can be unlocked at level 60 or higher. You can then purchase it for 1200 Gold.
