There are certain monsters in the Iceborne expansion that require specific conditions to be met before they unlock. These conditions include collecting monster tracks, finishing the story, or gaining access to the Guiding Lands. The unlockable monsters in Iceborne expansion are from previous Monster Hunter games or subspecies of monsters found in Monster Hunter World. You will find most of these unlockable monsters at the end-game hunting ground, the Guiding Lands. To spawn them you will need a specific region level or Master Rank level.
