Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Cheats and Tips

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is a paid expansion to Monster Hunter: World. It is an action-role-playing game where you play the role of a hunter who enters an arctic themed setting that is home to a whole new tier of monsters you can face along with some returning ones.

In order to access the new Iceborne story and quests, you must have completed the main story campaign from Monster Hunter: World and reached Hunter Rank 16. Cheats, Tips and Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include using Tailriders and playing the Steamworks mini-game. As well as these hints and tips we also have a mini-guide here which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:

• Training Area

  Monster Hunter World: Iceborne does not do a very good job explaining things to you. There are plenty of complex maneuvers and mechanics that need elaboration so it is advised you spend some time learning the new moves for your weapon of choice in the training area and checking out the weapon controls in the Hunter Notes.

• Lean Clutch Claw

  Take the time to learn Clutch Claw, this optional grappling hook is a new addition to your hunter's arsenal in the Iceborne expansion and is great for setting up weak points or toppling over a monster for big damage.

• Use Tailraiders

  In the Iceborne expansion you can activate Raider Ride from you item bar to summon your own mount. Although you cannot control the monster you can set a destination in the Wildlife Map to make the Tailraider automatically travel there. If you do not set a destination, it will begin following nearby tracks which can lead you to the monster you are hunting.

• Upgrade Armour and Weapons

  It is importrant that you improve your armour and weapons whenever possible so that you can take on more challenging hunts. If you register for bounties between quests you will have the opportunity to receive multiple rewards that will enable you to upgrade your gear faster.

• Collect Monster Bones

  Make sure you take trophies from the corpses of the monsters you kill as some of the upper echelons of armour and weapons will require plenty of these materials to create when you visit a smithy.

• Optional Quests

  Don't just focus on the main missions, consider your optional quests as well, especially those that enable you to get unique rewards. A new type of reward you can earn from optional quests in Iceborne are decorations which you can have a smithy attach to your gear to add stat boosts or use to decor your house in Seliana.

• Play the Steamworks Mini-Game

  In the Iceborne expansion there is a new mini-game you can play at Seliana. The objective of this mini-game is to match the hidden sequence of buttons so you build up the steam meter and earn random items. In order to use Steamworks you need to first fill it with either the fuel you earned from completing quests or by trading in items.
