How to Craft Perks

One of the ways in which you can improve the capabilities of the Guardians in combat is to acquire and craft the best perks. To obtain perks for the crew, you will need to explore your surroundings as Star-Lord in order to find Crafting Components, which can then be used to craft the perks. How to Find Perk Crafting Components

Perk Crafting Components are littered throughout Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, and you will be able to find them by destroying environmental objects and taking alternate pathways. The easiest way in which to track down Perk Crafting Components is to upgrade Star-Lord's visor as soon as possible with the upgrade called the Components Localizer, which highlights them, making them easier to gather.

How to Use the Workbench

After you have gathered enough materials to craft your desired Perk, you need to go to any workshop where Rocket will then craft the perk. Perks can only be crafted at a Workbench, which will display those that are available when you activate it (press Triangle/Y next to it). Once you've selected the Perk you want to craft by flicking through the menu with the left analog stick/ d-pad, simply press and hold X/ A to get Rocket to craft it for you. It is essential that you craft perks as doing so ultimately provides upgrades to Star-Lord's equipment making him more formidable in combat and improve his ability to gather materials to craft more Perks.

Which Perks to Craft

There are plenty of Perks that you can craft, and the ones you choose should be those that best suit your playstyle. Perks include reducing the Cooldown on Star-Lords blasters, scanning enemies during combat with the Visor (R3), or gliding around targets for a short time while shooting with the Air Glide ability. Below are the four Perks that you should prioritize straight away, as these will make your progress during the beginning of the game a lot easier.

- The Components Localizer

Allows you to track down Perk Crafting Components.

- Perfect Dodge

Slows time for a brief moment after dodging an attack at the last second. This perk is useful for setting up quick counterattacks after time slows and returns to normal.

- Charged Shot

Helps to stagger enemies.

- Air Glide

Adds another level of defensive mobility when Star-Lord uses his jet boots to fly around in the air and shoot enemies.
