Turning back time to 2011, plant and make fast money

I found out today that even though turning back time just a little (one day) doesn't fool the game, turning back time for a year works just fine.

I'm using iPad 2 so I'm not sure how does this work with other device. Basically, get all your sims as high (inspired) as they can. And make them plant beans. Beans pay a lot and they take 12 hours to grow so that make turning time easy breezy.

Once you did that, leave the game. Click home button twice. Close the game by holding the game icon until it shake and the little red circle with minus sign come up. Tap that red circle then click home button twice again. Go to Setting on iPad, to General, to Date&Time. Turn off Set Automatically. Change the year to 2011. Then go back to the game.

There won't be any changes yet. Unless you are building something, the build time will go way up like 300 hours. But don't worried, once you turn on Set Automatically in your iPad time settings again it will come down to what it was before. Now make sure everybody is high as kite and planting. I called ten of them to one house that has ten plants so it's easier to manage, the rest are in another house. Basically I have a mini factory for planting. Anyway, cancel if some of your sims are working, they won't get paid there when you turn time. Make ALL sims plant, plant, plant.

Once everyone is planting away, you will go to your iPad time setting and switch am to pm and then pm to am with date change forward.

Say, you start at

May 1, 2011 at 8.00 am

You will change to

May 1, 2011 at 8.01 pm

Then you go to the game, pick the beans, make sure everyone is still high and then make them plant the beans again. Then go back to your Setting, change time to

May 2, 2011 at 8.02 am

(The reason I add one minute each time is the time you use to command your sims. I didn't want to wait one second)

Go back to the game. Pick beans, plant beans. Go to Setting change am to pm. Go back to game. Pick beans, plant beans. Go to Setting change pm to am next day. Repeat the cycle.

Do this as many time as you want. Once you are done. Make sure every sims is happily planting before you go to Setting and turn on Set Automatically in you iPad Date&Time. If you want to play right afterwards, make them plant carrots (or Pepper if you're really fast). If not, plant whatever kind of plant that take amount of time you want. Garlic/onion/bean are the best overnight. I hope this works for you and don't forget to do this before you update the game next time
