How do I get my preteen into my house?

Question for The Sims FreePlay

How do I get my preteen into my house?
I recently rebuilt a new house on a new lot, then went through the trouble of divorcing my sims to move them into this new house. They remarried and moved in together etc etc. However, their children (including a preteen due to the new update which I love) did not go with them? In fact the map shows that the old house is actually the preteen's house now. How do I get the children to move with their parents so that nobody owns the old house and I can demolish it?

Age them up to a teen and make them good friends with an adult, then move them in.

Same

Is no one still able to answer this question? It's frustrating that the preteen still wants to stay in the old house rather than move in with it's parents.

But if you send them to school they'll go back to the house and this sucks because I know have a empty house with a preteen living in

Guest answered:

The only way it works is if the parents get remarried and the spouse moves back in with you

Guest said: 4th Jul 2016 | REPORT
I made a little club house where the preteen lives
Guest answered:

If you have the newest update then you just click the new house and press relocate household

I think that only works if the house has no one living in it
Guest answered:

First, build a new house, but it'll only be used for a minute so don't spend all of your money on it. Then press relocate household on it. Choose the family in question, leaving the house you want them to be in empty. Then you press the same button on the house you want them to live in. Relocate your household again and that should solve it! Good luck!

When I tried this the preteen that owns the house doesn't show up on the relocator at all,it's as if she doesn't exist
Guest said: 20th Dec 2013 | REPORT
That happens to me too. Cant relocate cuz the houses have owner..
Guest said: 4th Jul 2016 | REPORT
All I did was make a kid hang out for them
Guest answered:

Make a birthday cake, then once that's completed make the preteen and teenager, develop friendship with the Adult you want you teen to move in with (doesn't have to be parents) then the move in icon should appear. All the best

I tried this twice and it didn't work, I've followed the rest and I'm extremely tired of all of this not working! No offense
Guest said: 20th Mar 2016 | REPORT
That won't work on freeplay because not everyone has completed the teen quest so......
Guest answered:

I have the same exact problem, I'm just going to try to relocate all of them into a new house

Guest answered:

I don't think you can until your sim is an Adult. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've been trying for ages now, it is really frustrating having a toddler own a house. Went through the trouble of making it a teenager still won't budge. Aghhhhhhhh

Can you see why it isn't good to divorce?
Guest answered:

Get your mum sim and her boyfriend to get married in the preteens house and then hopefully they'll all live in the same house. If that worked then move household to the other house. Hope this helps!

If the parents are divorced and one of them has a new boyfriend/girlfriend you could try having the preteen becoming best friends with them and having them ask the preteen to move in
Guest answered:

Ok so I read all the answers and comments I found unless you can Age the child into an Adult you are unable to get them to move. What I did was have my preteen always hang out at hers dad step mom's place. And then I had my todale always be at her mom's place. As long as you don't make the kids in a really bad so they have to stay at there real house this should work. I'm sorry if you didn't want to here that there is no possible way to move a pre teen or toddler. I am not comp,e try sure if there is no way. I didn't try stuff. Just no this is the best way for me because a I don't waste my time trying to fight with the Sims free play

Guest answered:

I know it's too late but for next time: when you click on the new house and house options pop up, click on "Relocate household" then choose the family you want to move in.

Then why did you divorce?
Guest said: 3rd Jan 2018 | REPORT
I think they mean the kids with the mom
Guest said: 26th Sep 2018 | REPORT
Just make parents romanticly fall in love again and have one of them propose marriage till the other responds yes: Poot there married again.
Ineedtoknow answered:

I had an Adult sim living with her parents, then I had her adopt an orphan. Now the child is a preteen and I want to move the mother-daughter-duo into their own house. But I can’t find a way to do that because I can’t separate her daughter from her parents' house. I tried figuring out a way to move her parents in with another sim, but I can’t separate married Sims. So I can have the single mom move out, but the rest have to stay together? I know teens can move in with others, but my girl just became a preteen and I don’t want to speed up her aging. The only solution I can think of is divorcing the parents, having them move in with someone, moving the mother & daughter into their home, and remarrying the parents and having them move back home. It'll cost me but I think it’s the only way it’ll work.

This works! Thank you
Guest answered:

I get what you mean I had a similar problem and realised the only way he would be invited to stay is if he was a teenager so you need to Age him up then have one of the parents ask for him to move in. As pre teens they won't have that option, so age him up first.

Guest answered:

I have the same problem. If you don't want to speed up the Age of your preteen, you have two options: remarry the parents or remove the parents. If you remove the parents, you can let other Adult Sims (single or married) adopt them by building "good friend" relationship. Good luck.
