If you have the goal play chess in the Park and you have built the park take your sim there. There are chessboards in one of the corners tap and the opportunity to play chess comes up. Otherwise there are chess boards I think I remember seeing them in the living room section but you can't take anything other than Sims into the park.

Go to the living room box where you buy living room stuff and buy a chess board and play

Try turning the chess board and the chairs so when the sims sut down they can actually play i just had the same issue and i just turned the table and now the sims can play chess 😀hope this helps

If you have a recliner chair sell it buy foldout chairs thats what I did
