You can quit a Job by going to the Career/relationship tracker - on the iPad, it shows as a tab in the bottom right of the screen with a briefcase and two people. When you open that tracker, select the "career" tab. To quit a job, go to the Sim, tap the job icon with the small "i". You will then get a panel of all the Jobs and the option to "quit job". Tap "quit job". It will ask you to confirm. Your Sim will then show up as unemployed until they choose another job.

Is it possible if you can make layers of rooms on top of each other on Freeplay just like in Sims 4

You fire a sim from their Job by clicking on the tab in the bottom left of your screen with a bag and two people on it, and it will come up with the sim and their job. If they're already employed then it will have a picture of their job. Click on that and click "quit this job" and then you have an you unemployed sim 😜😜
