So far, I cannot make anything work inside there. So I have sold off everything. The wall covering cannot be changed. So I just stuck a long bath inside - use it like a second bathroom.

Guest answered:

You can sell the chains on the wall and then re-wallpaper the room. I've turned it into a sunroom/reading room. I also destroyed the Saw-like room leading to it and changed the doors to be less... Creepy.

Guest answered:

Ive heard that if you put a sim in there and then take the door away and leave your sim in there for a long time it can die

That people have completed the life dreams and legaces quest
Guest answered:

I was wondering the same. I think it's useless. Sell the chains and the table.

Guest answered:

Couldnt find any use for it either. Sold everything and remodeled the whole house. Best way to add new Sims as it gets more expensive is to buy the cheapest house with life points or an empty lot and build from scratch!!

It could be for police interrogations?
Guest answered:

It has no use at all so I deleted everything in it and changed it into a bathroom

Guest answered:

Sims wont take a deep sleep ever in that place

Guest answered:

I just bought this house. I hate the creepy kill room, but I love the black and white theme. So I sold everything in it and made it into like a movie theatre. It turned out so cool. I expanders the room, put lots of chairs in, bought the nicest tv, put in the wall lamps, then took counter and put it on the side with a coffee machine and a fridge. I put dark wall paper(red) and black floor and it looks so cool. I suggest this, instead a creepy kill room. Love the black white theme, and added little bits of red here and there. Turned out amazing, and I love it.

Guest answered:

The room creeps me out there's only a table and chair and a nightstand..... Does it actually do anything?

Guest answered:

If you put a sim in there and then remove the door they will die but you can do that in any other room so idk why they even made it it's just to be creepy I guess

Guest answered:

It's useless first I thought I could use it like a dinning or something but it creeped me so I just deleted the hallway and that room made a bigger kitchen and bathroom instead of the bed room I made a nice living room then added the bedroom

Guest answered:

I turned mine into a saferoom basicly added a be a mini fridge 3 chairs and changed the wallpaper. I liked it so I kept it.

I ever 4-6 Sims in the dark secret room without the door on it but the sims won't die!! But before I put my sims there, I put some computers and small stereo to create having fun in that creepy room.

Guest answered:

The room is useless... Just meant to be creepy and make people think of the saw type horror movies.. Or serial killers. I remodeled it and changed all of the decor, wallpaper and floors included. I made the hall bright and airy that leads to the now bedroom-- made the room bigger, decorated it in bright spring colors, and added lots of plants. It's kind of cool, like the bedroom is a hideaway and the former bedroom is now the recreational room. Got rid of the wardrobes hiding the door leading to the hallway of the kill room. Too creepy for my tastes.

Guest answered:

After the game has been updated, you can tap the chains to search ghosts

Guest answered:

There's nothing you can do in that room except sit. I think the idea is creepy and fun, but a waste of space... So I made a few Changes to the walls and reassigned the rooms. I moved the chess set there so it's now the chess room.

I like the clean empty look of the place, though, so I kept that. Here's a pic:

I think this house is very thought out, what with the white and black theme, the wardrobes hiding the door to the blank hallway and the hidden kill room at the back. I believe if you added a creepy sim, that only weres black and white clothes, and has an unpredictable Personality, then this house has a lot of potential. I did this, and it turned out great. Sometimes I like to make story lines to go with my Houses and this was the perfect house for a thriller. I have already done many mini videos about my creepy sim, simply named Violet and no surname to fit with the secretive theme, and my friends say it chills them. I am very thankful to EA for making this house, as it is probably the best house I have and yet I haven't changed one thing in it. If you are like me, and enjoy creeping atmospheres, then this is the house for you!
Thank you, Fiona xx

Thanks for your comment, Fiona! I think people are missing the whole point of this house. It's meant to be creepy! I made a mad scientist sim who lives there by himself. Unfortunately, the combination of him and the house is really creeping me out so I may delete him and just leave the house for novelty purposes.

I too kept it ''dark'' and added some more chains, beds etc. Created upstairs space with white and black reversed.

I just expanded the room leading into it and turned that into a bedroom, then I took the room at the end and turned that into a nursery.

This is coming really late, but I really love the idea of Dark Secret, even if it's getting quite some hate. Not that I want my Sims to kill others, but it could be a really good place to keep all you ghost hunting or wizardry stuff "hidden" from others. At least that is what I did. I just filled the place with all kinds of things that had something to do with magic/wizardry. It looks really cool and not at all like a kill place Smile
