Final Smash - PK Storm:
Causes a large meteor storm. Since the entire field isn't covered at once, it's rather easy to dodge. Further, each meteor only does around 14 damage, and isn't very likely to KO anyone. Could be useful if you are playing against 3 people on a small stage and they aren't paying attention, I guess. Other then that, this is pretty useless, however pretty.
Strategy:
Use PK Freeze and PK Fire from a moderate distance to build up mass amounts of damage. Also remember that all of his attacks are powered up with PSI, and have slightly increased range. His stick has the toned-down attributes of a baseball bat when fully charged, so it makes a great finisher.
Defense Strategy:
Lucas doesn't have many fast attacks, so get in close, preferably behind him, and unleash with anything you have. You could also distance yourself outside the range of his PK Fire and use projectiles, just don't use anything laser-based or he'll just absorb it.
From SuperCheats.com Forum:
Here are some extra comments from the members of our forums for Lucas...
A shy boy with psychic powers, making his Smash Debut after getting the chop from Melee. He is the spiritual successor to Ness, and is likely to have many of Ness' abilities, with some possible alterations. It is said that he could possibly surpass Ness.
Special Attacks
Standard: PK Freeze. Lucas fires a snowflake shaped attack in to the air. By holding the button, he will charge it until maximum power, at which the snowflake explodes, freezing anyone nearby. If the button is released early, he will attack, though with not as much power or range. If he is hit during charge, the attack is cancelled.
Side: PK Fire. Lucas fires a spark forwards, exploading in to a tower of flames when on contact with the ground, an opponent or an item. It now fires straight when on both ground and in the air.
Up: PK Thunder. Lucas fires a bolt of electricity, then controls it mentally. Controlling with the control stick, it moves about for a while until it hits something, damaging them. If it hits Lucas, it will launch him in the same direction of the thunder, allowing for possible recovery. Lucas is incontrollable during this attack.
Down: PSI Magnet. Lucas creates a ball of psychic energy around his finger, which absorbs energy attacks. If any non-solid projectile (e.g. Charizard's Flamethrower) hits the PSI Magnet, Lucas will recover the equivelent of double the damage the attack would have caused.
Final Smash: PK Starstorm. Lucas unleashes a rapid barrage of PK based energy meteors downwards upon the stage, the intensity of the attack becoming greater as it continues. It is advised to use this more on smaller stages to have the biggest effect.

How do I unlock Lucas on the wii u🙄
i beat a lvl 9 wario using this guy
Lucas is a very god character, but some are better. For example, he is very vulnerable from the direction that he isn't facing. When I did a stock battle against him, I found it very easy to get some damage on him when I was facing his back. His final smash move does very high damage and can occasionaly KO someone, but it is not that common. In general, I think Lucas is a more offensive character than defensive.
Lucas is the character to use before you try Ness, as their powers are similar, but Lucas came first. Sorry Ness.
How to do the Meteor Smash with Lucas
Lucas is not slow, he has average running speed, really fast air speed, and fast attacks. He has terrible recovery because its so easy to interrupt it. But, it goes very far and he's very powerful, and a average aerial game to boot, and you got a good contender.
This guy is great. His primary power are all of his tap stick plus A. Charged up A smash is goox. It is your friend. Your grab will hold ledges, so if you get to a ledge, use it instead of pk thunder. Its a lot safer. Pk fire has great knockback. Just do what you do best when you use Lucas.
I have to agree with jordyn lucas is a good carecter I lose to lucas once and im an expert smash player.but like evry carecter he has his flaws such as he cant take to much damage cause he is a slow light weight chaerter. Also his weak points are from behind and below sorrey jordyn evry charecter has their flaws.
I beg to differ. I haven't lost an opponent with Lucas. No one gives his character a chance, because no one knows much about what game he originated from. People laugh and question why I always use him, and then wonder why they lose almost every time. Many characters from more 'popular' or well-known games are always considered the best fighters, and I strongly disagree with this. I also disagree with the damage counters this page gives his attacks....His PK love (up B)....if an opponent is anything above 50%, they're done. KO. Down A, as well, just as powerful. And using PK thunder and hitting Lucas towards an opponent as you would to save yourself from falling, is a really good way to rack up their percentage. His PK fire isn't as effective as Ness'; however his range is phenomenal and if an opponent is close to a bomb? No mercy. Perhaps PK starstorm isn't that great on larger stages, but the fights are more intimate and challenging when they're on smaller stages ANYWAY. I recommend the Mother series to anyone who is looking for a different, and quirky game, yet equally entertaining and satisfying to the tender hearted. Perhaps if you knew the background to Lucas' character, maybe you'd grow more attached to the cute little guy. - Jordyn
did you know slowing down time and using smash Down causes alot of damage unless they dodge.
If you use Lucas's final smash right, it will chain hit and bring them higher and higher until.... X.X death.
lucus is not that good of a character compared to pikachu ortoon link :{
PK Love (aka UP charged attack) is overkill so you should NEVER go above Lucas. the best startagy for fighting lucas is close in on him with dodge and attack him quickly and don't let him use his Powerful PK attacks.
his charged up and A move is devastating. it can easily ko anyone with >100 damage.
i think lucas is a close-mid range fighter because his attacks hit such a large area if you fight him close range you are bound to take more damage than you can put out. and the comment about aerial is not a great strategy. if you are low enough he can pk fire you and if you are high/close enough he will up smash. if you are diagonal he can use pk thunder. and i suggest not fighting him close range because he will spam short kick. after that he can probably just pk fire you into the air.
a great defense strategy is to go aerial, but not to much and not directly over him just in front or behind. since ur off the ground it makes it hard for him to attack because almost all his attack are directly in front or above him. and keep an eye on his attacks, he leaves himself open a lot.
