Good question, I would like to know too. All I can say to you is complete your Pokedex, and maybe beat the Elite Four over and over for fun.

Have you gotten every single Pokemon?
Have you been in the battle tower?
Have you gotten all the Trainer Card stickers?
Did you get Deoxys, Lugie, and Ho-Oh yet?
There are many more things to do! after you get Mewtwo. If not then start the game over again with a different Starter.

You have to beat the Elite Four then go to all the islands Gary is on the last island - he is on is Four Island then the guy blocking the cave in Curelean City will move !
