Can you do anything in the Altering cave if so can you tell me what to do in there?

The Altering Cave is where you catch the pokemon, you swipe the e-reader card and what ever e-reader you chose example mareep,smeargle,shuckle

You can use Mystery Gift to get rare Johto Pokemon in there. Again, COOLTRAINER NIKOLE IS WRONG.
The chances of facing an Areodactal are 0, so facing a shiny Areodactal is impossible.
There is only one one way to get Lugia, and that is on 8 Island.
