Yellow: Oakley Blitz

This event is a Gladstone Dirt Sprint that takes place on mixed-surface roads for 2-Laps. It is worth 100 Points and $3K (plus bonuses) to the winner. It is restricted to Class-B cars and requires AWD.

Ramona Cravache is your race rival again and offers what she thinks of as smack talk. Basically she is the “star” of the show having more popularity than you, so she is the racer you need to beat for the extra points. Thing is, you want to win first place anyway, so it is rather a mute point.

The race is not all that difficult save for two of the turns, but as it is a 2-Lap race that should not be much of an issue once you pull ahead of the pack.

Rival Time Races

After winning the race you will again be presented with the opportunity to pit yourself against your real-world rival -- that is to say you can race against the time (and ghost) for whatever one of the gamers on your Friend List has for their best time for this event.

While the reward may not seem like all that much - when you add in your bonus at tabulation it can be worth it to do these races...

Racing against the best time for your real-world friends or rivals can deliver bonus cash and bragging rights of course!

The trick to beating these times is to take the first lap or two and watch what your rivals ghost does so you can see where they made mistakes, and where they drive well, then you can plan your route through the track to compensate for that.

As long as you are ahead of their ghost you are winning - and that includes beating it over the finish line - so knowing where their run was weak will help you a lot.

As there is an Achievement associated with the Rivals Races that appear at the back end of each of the official races, and as they are worth sufficiently large enough rewards in money to make them worth doing -- plus the bragging rights over your mates -- we are going to assume that you will be completing these at least for as long as it takes you to unlock the Achievement, noted later.
